The joint forces raided a large amount of fake medicines and cosmetics processing factories from a place called Paschim Khabaspur Rahim Mor of Faridpur Sadar Upazila. The operation was conducted on the second floor of a 3-storey building in West Khabaspur of the city on Sunday afternoon. At this time, Army, Kotyali Police and District Administration Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Fazle Rabbi and District Drug Superintendent Md. Roknuzzaman was present. The skin-related problems of the human body including acne were prepared and packaged here. Apart from this, there are numerous products and chemical products including shampoo, face wash, body wash, soap, soap used by children. From here, packaged by many famous and anonymous companies including ketozel, pernix, park. According to local and expedition sources, Mahfuzur Rahman Shipon (35), a tenant of a person named Jewel, rented the house nine months ago in Rahim Mor area of Maulana Abdul Alim Road in West Khabaspur Maulana Abdul Alim Road. Since then he started these activities behind the scenes. He fled during the raid. Shipon’s house is said to be in Beparidangi area of Sadarpur upazila of Faridpur district. District Drug Super Md. Roknuzzaman said that he built illegal factories in two units rented houses. There is no validity of license or drug production in the factory. In that case, maximum punishment will be provided as per the Drug Administration Act. He said, since they were producing these with medicine without any approval, they can be of low quality and cause harm to the human body. However, these samples will be sent to the laboratory and the quality will be checked. Executive Magistrate Fazle Rabbi said that an employee arrested for illegal production of goods has been sentenced to one month imprisonment under Section 45 of the Consumer Rights Act 2009. Besides, the Drug Superintendent has been instructed to file a case against the owner under Section 14(1) of the Cosmetics Act 2023. At that time, Executive Magistrate Fazle Rabbi told reporters that the operation against the marketers will continue by adulterating such fake products. In the operation, the general public was shocked to see the famous brands of cosmetics used by fake medicines and roosters of various companies. Common people are now worried which one is real and which one is fake. The common people thanked that they are protecting people from fraud by carrying out this Sarashi raid of joint forces across the country.
